Hussain Tarabie and Ali Omar at the ICAM
After bringing together the work of five young Syrian painters in Geneva in June 2015, WAHA organizes its second exhibition in partnership with the ICAM (Institut des Cultures Arabes et Méditerranéennes) to give an overview of the work of two of those artists, Hussain Tarabieh and Ali Omar.
Each one takes us into his world for a trip through our emotions, away from our preconceptions. Hussain through his large canvases combining painting and collage tells the harmonious relationship that can exist between substance and form. Ali with his expressive and colourful portraits talks about the complexity of the human soul, about distress and beauty.
The exhibition took place in the gallery of the ICAM between 14th of January 2016 and 20th of February 2016
